Terms of Use
Effective as of July 14, 2026
1. Purpose
These Terms of Use ("ToU") govern access to and use of the Alviena platform, available at chordsheet.app, published by Alexandre Vauthier (sole proprietor, 195 rue Beauvoisine, 76000 Rouen, France). By creating an account, the user accepts these Terms of Use without reservation.
2. Access to the service
Alviena is accessible to any individual who creates an account via email and password. Registration is free. A paid premium offer may be introduced later; its terms will be specified in the applicable Terms of Sale.
3. User account
The user is responsible for the confidentiality of their account and for any activity carried out from it. They agree not to create an account with false information and to immediately notify the publisher of any unauthorized access to their account.
4. User content and assignment of rights
The user retains ownership of the chord sheets they create. By publishing a sheet in public mode, the user grants Alexandre Vauthier a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and adapt this content for the purpose of operating and promoting Alviena.
This license ends when the user deletes the content or switches the sheet back to private mode, subject to technical processing delays. Private sheets are only accessible to their author.
5. Prohibited conduct
It is in particular prohibited to:
- publish unlawful, defamatory, offensive, or infringing content;
- fully reproduce copyrighted song lyrics without authorization;
- attempt to bypass the service's security measures;
- use the service for unauthorized commercial purposes.
6. Intellectual property
Alviena, its interface, code, and proprietary content are protected by intellectual property law. Any reproduction without written authorization is prohibited.
7. Liability
The publisher cannot be held liable for content published by users or for indirect damages resulting from use of the service. The service is provided "as is" and may be interrupted at any time for maintenance or technical reasons.
8. Changes and termination
The publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. The user will be informed by email or notification on the service. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms of Use. The publisher may suspend or delete an account in the event of non-compliance with these terms.
9. Content reporting (notice and takedown)
Chord sheets (chords and rhythm) published on Alviena are not, in themselves, considered infringing. However, if content published by a user (fully reproduced lyrics, title, artwork, or any other element) infringes a copyright, related right, or any other intellectual property right, the rights holder may report it to alex.vauthier@gmail.com, specifying:
- identification of the content concerned (link to the sheet);
- the right invoked and the capacity of the requester (author, publisher, rights holder…);
- their contact details.
In accordance with article 6-I-2 et seq. of French law no. 2004-575 of June 21, 2004 on confidence in the digital economy (LCEN), the publisher undertakes to promptly remove or disable access to any manifestly unlawful content notified under these conditions. An account that is the source of repeated and substantiated reports may be suspended or deleted.
10. Applicable law
These Terms of Use are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Rouen, France.
